Data files acquired by Xcalibur can contain multiple scan filters. An example of this could be a data file with a positive and negative scan filter or one with a full scan and multiple SIM scans. Although this does not pose any problems for the native software, 3rd party applications frequently do not process these files correctly. Xcalibur’s file conversion utility can only export each filter into a separate NetCDF file and does not provide the functionality to group filters together to be exported as a single NetCDF file. XcaliburToNetCDF addresses this problem by exporting data into NetCDF file(s) based on filter groups specified by the user.
